About Mason County Criminal History

Mason County records are divided among local, state, and federal custodians. Court files remain with the Circuit or Magistrate clerk in Point Pleasant, reports stay with the agency that wrote them, regional jail data belongs to WVDCR, and fingerprint histories are handled by the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau. This private resource organizes those routes so readers can identify the right official portal, counter, or telephone contact.

Why We Built This Site

West Virginia does not place every criminal-history record in one public name search. The Mason County Sheriff keeps deputy reports, WVDCR operates regional jail and prison searches, court clerks hold complaints and dispositions, and WVSP maintains the fingerprint-based CIB repository. The West Virginia Sex Offender Registry is another distinct system. We assembled the verified contacts, access limits, request steps, and official links so a reader can match a question to the custodian that can answer it.

What You Will Find Here

  • Record routes: how Mason County court, arrest, custody, and registry information is divided among offices
  • Official checks: how fingerprint appointments, CIB personal review, and FBI self-review differ from public court searches
  • Local contacts: where to reach the Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Magistrate Clerk, and courthouse offices in Point Pleasant
  • Record relief: where West Virginia expungement statutes and Mason County filing counters fit into the process

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, not part of a West Virginia court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those boundaries mean we cannot:

  • Retrieve an official criminal history or conduct an official check
  • Submit a records request, expungement petition, or court form for another person
  • Certify a court order, rap sheet, booking file, or police report
  • Provide legal advice about a warrant, charge, conviction, or eligibility for relief
  • Promise that an agency's fees, hours, or contact information have not changed

An official record must come from its custodian, such as the Mason County court, the arresting agency, WVDCR, or the West Virginia State Police CIB.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. They control their own results, prices, and service terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports site operations. We neither set a partner's charges nor determine which records its service returns.
